His eyes are cold, ice cold... but they hide something. The strange silver pendant he bears is the mark of the Y'voic Warrior. He trained for eleven years to become an Avatar.
For the past two years he has traveled - working occasionally as a mercenary in the small skirmishes that would arise between countries. |

AVATAR Viewed as the "Perfect Guardian", an avatar is the backbone of the Y'voic Clan. Avatars have conditioned their bodies to be stonger and faster with incredible endurance and constitutions. Equally, they condition their minds to tolerate extremes in temperature, pain, and emotion. The ideal Avatar is warrior untouched by the mind or soul. Avatar's link themselves to a another as a dedicated guardian. Dedicated Avatars would sacrifice their own lives for the one they guard, also known as the Lyr. |
LYR Named after the first Preist of Nallec, the Lyr is the official name for the person whom an Avatar choses to Guard. |
NALLEC The world. Nallec has had a long history, and most scholars agree that currently Nallec is in the "Blue Era", named for the slow and troubled rebuilding of society after the "Death of Empires". Previously, Nallec had been ruled by three large Empires. War broke out among two of the Empires, and soon all of Nallec was torn asunder. Two years into the "War of Empires", the Traive and Gazzanine clans united. These two clans ignored Imperial alignments, and instead worked as two large tribes. This action tore the Empires apart quickly and it was not long before all three Empires were completely abolished. In the current era, the 5 major clans attempt to work together to bring Nallec to a state of unified strength. Poverty and politics still run ramp throughout Nallec, but most people of Nallec believe that Nallec is on the better course then the days of the Empires. |
Y'VOIC CLAN One of the major clans, the Y'voic Clan has slowly begun dying in number since the "Death of the Empires". The Y'voic Clan holds firm in three beliefs: All life is sacred - Dedication, trust, and faith are the strongest human bonds - The Eternal works dilligently in the realm of man. One of the only two clans that still holds religion and faith in high regard, the Y'voic Clan believes that certain people are vital to The Eternal's workings. ( Kings, Preists, etc.. ) Because the Y'voic Clan was born of the peasant and soldier class in history, the origins of the Y'voic were to dedicate their own lives to protecting the 'chosen of The Eternal'. This origin has been slightly adjusted, now believing that a Y'voic must either train future Avatar's or become an Avatar themselves. Because of the turmoil after the "Death of the Empires", Avatars who protect nobility or politicians are seen as blasphamers. This has caused a slow but steady decline in the Y'voic Clan's numbers. Most Avatars of the current age protect religious leaders. |
